ABOUT PHANTOM FIELDS
About
NOW YOU KNOW
In their six-song debut release NOW YOU KNOW, intrepid musical prospectors Phantom Fields guide us along an uncharted stream of alt-country-indie-rock rich with guitar, pedal steel, harmony and gritty songsmanship. The first of two EPs due from Phantom Fields in 2024, NOW YOU KNOW will be released across all streaming services—and available on Bandcamp—April 5th, 2024.
“Now You Know,” the first cut on the EP and their debut single to be released March 8, 2024, drops lines about suspicion, conspiracy, wonder and consequences across a cinematic gallop to the other side. Shuffling cross-country is track two, “Lightning Strikes,” a story of a series of escapes. Beautifully haunting “Judgement Day” swirls into a haze on the pavement of Las Vegas, followed by “Your Too Much,” the 2nd single due March 22, 2024, which pushes the EP in an upward trajectory through an alliterative play on words. Reaching the heavens by song five, “Sky and Star” erupts into a Minnesota soul explosion heavy on guitar and sass; while the epic closer “Walk Up Song” bats cleanup with a tongue in cheek ode to hometown heroes.
NOW YOU KNOW was recorded and engineered with Adam Tucker in 2023 at Signaturetone Recording in Minneapolis.
